Karnataka Minor Ports (Small Boat Surveys)
Within the contract to the Karnataka Minor Ports - we were also appointed Small Boat (Safety) Surveyors for all the four divisions of the KMP-Directorate – and we completed 96 such surveys of boats all along the Karnataka Coast. The boats included – pleasure craft, tour boats, harbour craft & 100 ton cap. wooden hull country cargo vessels that plied the O/P Mangalore to Lakshadweep trade.

Pre-Purchase inspections.
We were contracted by a third party to carry out the Pre-Purchase inspection of the 70,000DWT bulk carrier MV. Sagar Kiran that was then loading her cargo of I.Ore at Goa-Port.

Two of our network marine engineers were deputed to carry out the inspection. The inspection was carried out over a 24 hour period split between two working days. The inspectors stayed overnight on board and completed their inspection the 2nd day. Apart from the initial connect via the third party introducer, we were in direct contact with the head clients SSY-Athens.

Also - on instructions from Indian buyers we carried out the inspection of the yacht ‘Serendipity’ at Mumbai.
The vessel had been hauled up for the monsoon period where the inspection was carried out. Subsequently we were in touch with the boat’s manufacturers in USA and the contractor tasked with her maintenance and reports received from the both the same plus our report on her present condition was passed on to our clients.

• vFor NMCI – Mumbai. Cargo Damage Survey at Mumbai, Chennai & Kottayam.
• v For Indian PandI Surveyors – Mangalore Boiler damage on board the MV. Wei Fong – at Mangalore Port.
• Steering Gear damage on board the MV. C.S. Brave - at Mangalore Port, during her guarantee voyage.

Port Information & other misc. jobs
• v Complete logistics & liaison support for a Single Voyage permission a Coastal Voyage of the Mv. Jal Kalash from Karwar to Jamnagar.
• The assignment included daily Pos-Reps to the local Mangalore Station MMD y our ‘shore station’ office.
• v We have submitted budgetary estimates to principals involved in the construction of an upcoming port on the ECI for – comprehensive Port Services, Mooring Operations, Port Conservancy of overall value of 129cr.
• v Submission (for Approval) of Grain Carriage for Stability Calculations for MV. JKING to local Mangalore MMD Station.
• v On behalf of PG Principals – we have built up Port Information for Off-Shore Loading of Bauxite/laterite from a series of Minor Ports along the WCIndia-Maharastra Coast.
